A golden Abingdon afternoon
Had to go to town to buy more Christmas cards...
This is Burford Bridge, Abingdon, taken from St Helen's Wharf.
Glowing in the December sunshine, the beautiful old building in the foreground is called the Malthouse although I don't think it's been used as one for more than a century. It now belongs to a (very lucky) firm of architects.
Burford Bridge is one of three consecutive bridges that spans the Thames at this point. To the left (out of the Picture) is Abingdon Bridge, and to the right (out of the picture) is Maud Hayles bridge.
Am looking forward to seeing the newly rejuvenated Blip site tomorrow - and finding out more about members' benefits...
