Edinburgh Christmas Fair.

MaggieD and I took the train into Edinburgh this morning for a look around. We met two neighbours on the train and had a great blether right through to Waverley station. After doing Princes Street and Rose Street, we checked out the Christmas market. Far too crowded for my liking but we found a good spot from where I took this shot. The stalls are all in the gardens an fright down on the level is a miniature Santa train for the little kids to have rides on. Other than bratwurst and gluwein stalls, there is a skating rink, that big wheel and a skylon style chairoplane thingy. (That is the tall pylon structure just beyond the Scott Monument.) We watched the paying punters (£8.00 a head) spinning up to the top before returning to terra firma. Would you find me going up in that thing? To quote John Wayne, "Like hell I would!"
