Silverdale Alpaca
Another mild, sunny morning. Mrs. K off to the Christmas bonfire and lunch for volunteers in our nearby National Nature Reserve.
Time for a two hour walk looking for Blips.
I have photographed this Alpaca a number of times and then found something else to blip. But today I like the smug smile on its face so it can have its turn at last. Perhaps like Knottman it has wrapped all its presents and is feeling pleased with itself.
I was surprised to read that there are 35,000 Alpacas in the UK and there is a flourishing Alpaca Society with 1400 members. Alpacas come from South America. They are smaller than Llamas and are prized for their silky wool.
