Hieroglyph

Always noticed this lone pine, stretching its bare limbs above the more tangled foliage of Deerpark Wood. 'Lone pine' is a cliche of course, I presume because hardy pines often crop up like singular gestures in places where there are far less trees: deserts, tundra, etc.
