above Grasmere

After a morning doing Christmassy things I needed to escape for a few hours. Typical that as soon as I parked the car in Grasmere the rain started!

With umbrella in one hand and pocket camera in the other I was happy just to walk around the village, but within 5 minutes the sun broke through so it was back to plan A and a walk to Alcock Tarn.

A good walk up (faster than I expected) and a few photo stops. Not the best batch of photos as I was shooting into the sun mostly, then the rain started again so it was waterproof jacket on and camera away.
