Mono-Monday Change: Friendly Tree to Scary Kestrel

The wood for this sculpture has changed from being part of a tree to being a work of art.

I took this photo this morning whilst we were walking in Chopwell Wood, near Gateshead. It has been our family tradition to go there (almost) every year for at least 30 years to get our Christmas tree, and we always have a walk while we're there. Several years ago they started to display wooden sculptures at intervals around the trails - the kestrel is one of my favourites.
