Merci St. Nicolas!

The kids left one of their biggest shoes by the front door last night in the hope that someone would pay a visit. There were whoops of delight this morning when they discovered some chocolate, speculoos and a clementine!

My friend came and baby sat for us today so hubby and I could go Christmas shopping together. It was great and we got everything we wanted for the kids. Later on the four of us went and chose our Christmas tree and spent the rest of the day putting up Christmas decorations and making our new home look all sparkly and pretty for our first Christmas here.
The kids even have their own Christmas tree upstairs which they've decorated with all of their creations. It means Mummy finally gets to have a more sophisticated tree now (but I've still kept some of the old favourites).

Feeling very Christmassy now!
