Childhood isn't what it used to be.

In my day things like this were to be climbed over, regardless of whether there was 10p available to make it run.

Anyway, in other news I made a first visit in a long time to my folks' local church, to support the youth organisations who were playing a role.

I especially enjoyed the 'parish notices' element, mince pies, befriending, guiding, nativity and - almost forgotten - a watchnight service. Boy, there's a lot going on.
