Lavatera in December

Lavatera is native to the Mediterranean region, so it is amazing to me that it is still flowering in my Scottish garden with only 10 days to Christmas. This morning as the sun rose in the still crisp air a shaft of sunlight just caught the topmost flowers. I probably should prune it to give it the best chance to produce its profusion of flowers next summer.
