First light, Lake Pearson
I was up at silly o'clock, drove to Lake Pearson and made my first cast at 6.22am.
It was stunning.
I caught feisty, fat wee hen Rainbow. I released her. Sometimes that's the way it feels.
My day didn't finish so well. In the afternoon I did a heap of outside jobs including pulling the weeds from the empty section next door away from my fence and garden.
I had heavy gloves on but something like an old rusty hat pin went through my gloves and pierced the middle finger of my right hand.
It was fine for several hours but suddenly swelled last evening. I ended up at after hours. My finger and hand are badly swollen and my finger joint is at risk.
I'm home and living in a one hand world.
