Bill and Ben
They were meant to be called Big and Ben, but junior can't quite get his tongue around Gs yet so we went back to the more typical naming. Bill is at the bottom here, he's a bit bigger hence the older name. Ben is the better-looking one with the red bar on his tail. Nothing to size them by in this image but they're about 4-5 inches including the tail. And yes, given the names I do intend to eventually stick an old flowerpot in the tank!
Stuck the old OM 50mm lens on for this image: although it's manual focussing the aperture goes to 1.8 so it's pretty fast, allowing a reasonably sharp capture.
This type of goldfish is called a sarasa comet. The tank will do them for a few years yet, but if they do keep going they might provide an excuse for an outdoor pond...
