Cove

Another day of visiting beaches today!

We headed over to Cove this morning. It's a wee place just south of Dunbar. It has a very cute harbour and to get to the beach, you have to walk through a tunnel cut into the rock.

I haven't been to Cove for ages and this memorial wasn't there the last time I went. The memorial says:

Commemorating the widows and children of Cove left by the fishing diaster of 14th October 1881 when 189 fishermen were lost off this coast. Cove lost 11 out of 21 fishermen

What a very sad story.....
