Beam

Last day at The Rose Cottage, moving day for the folks and this is a beam in the dining room apparently a ship's beam from the 1700s .
Interesting , but not as interesting as the conversation I had with a man who came to check the Energy rating of the new house - he told me that the cottage had , in those old days, been the pox clinic ! I decided not to mention this to my parents !
