The Rag Wreath
The rag wreath was popular in working class homes in the early 20th century, to make a decoration for the festive season out of rags available in the home and work. The wreath, intending to mimic the greens and reds of one made from the holly and berries, wasn't prone to drying out and could be saved from Christmas to Christmas.
This one has been made by my dear wife, from a coat hanger and scraps of material, with the addition of a bauble or two [though traditionally, the centre piece would be a cloth heart or a knitted piece].
Very proud of my little 'Creative' indoors!
