Walled Garden under repair

Usual short walk in the local park this morning. Not many birds about, and unusually not many dog walkers either.

The above picture is part of the formal Walled Garden.

After some storm damage last year it is finally being repaired. You can see where the new brickwork meets the old around the wrought iron gate. Obviously a skilled stonemason is doing the work to make good the damage as it was in perilous state.

These gardens used to be the private gardens to Glossop Hall which was demolished a long time ago.
