Straight to the hips
After a very early start, and a trip to the shops by 8, then eggy bread, I was at the allotment by 10.15. The whole place is not at it's most attractive this time of year - not yet midwinter enough, with everything just going black.
Dug some parsnips (okayish, rubbish compared to last year)
Spuds (Cara and Sante, amazingly in perfect condition)
Leeks (unblanched but fatter than a pencil)
Horseradish (of which I'm scared) and picked some Kale (3 types, still too strong for the baby)
Now settling in for a pleasant afternoon.
