Today I got up at 6, it was not ideal after being in bed at 1. But the need to up so early was that we were going to Paris. After Ash was a bit late, we went through departures. Lots of laughs before we were even on the train despite the time. We had this perfect table seats with a carriage that was pretty much just us. Ash was coming out with some absolute crackers nearly all of them became in jokes we pulled out later.

Secret Santa I got a miniature London bus and a match, a hint at matchbox size or terrorism? I'm not sure, we've still not revealed who had who, except the guy who wrapped up some dice, a red stripe and a lemon in a rather phallic shape and gave it to jack.

Got to the hotel I was sharing with Nevs so that was great. We went across Walking through London stopping off at cafes and pubs along the way to st germain and heading up to the canal. Somewhere in between we had lunch at 4 which was a good we burger and chips abs definitely a nice wee filler. A few stops later at 10 we found a restaurant that was gorgeous, small but so nice and the food was incredible. I had swordfish and some really nice red wine. Perfect.

Then round the corner a pub/club, in a house belonging to 'le general' who had all sorts of crazy stuff in his grand wooden house. Really nice place, I'd go back there, but perhaps earlier just to enjoy all the quirkiness more.

Ash met up with some girls who clearly liked him and at two we headed over to a club they suggested. Initially it looked terrible and we nearly bailed but ash went and paid in before we could do anything. So that was that. We stayed til it closed at 5. We did then dander about trying to go home, and unfortunately we eventually got in at 6. Nevs walked home and because of that despite the door being open, he hammered the door down to let him in. Only 20 minutes after we got in though, so it was ok.
A hugely packed day and morning.
