Holiday Dinner With Barb and Ben

Every Christmas we celebrate Christmas day having Barb over for a dinner and holiday cheer. This is the first year we'll be down on the 25th with the kids in Portland so we decided we'd just have Barb...and now Ben...here today. It went very nicely . Barb LOVES crab cakes so BiG R made fresh crab cakes and three special home made sauces to go along. One was a savory rhubarb one that came in the recipe book with the crab cakes...Barb love rhubarb so she was delighted. We also had Big R's home made clam chowder and I made broccoli salad. It was topped off with home made brownie by by Big R....I think he's found something to occupy his new retired time! Ok by me...and he can do the laundry too as long as he checks pockets next time and doesn't take my clean jeans !!!
