Unlike Les Dawson, I both liked and admired my mother in law whose funeral I attended today.

30 years ago she welcomed me into her family, 20 years ago she acted as a grandmother should, 10 years ago she supported her husband after a stroke and sadly over the last 5 years she suffered the memory numbing tendrils of dementia.

Thank you Avril for the time I spent in your company.

Here's looking to the future, but never forgetting the past.
