Edinburgh Collection - Winter on Calton Hill

One of the last times I walked up Calton Hill was when I did my photography course . Today was much different weather wise, a cold greyish day with little light on the buildings. This though didn't detract from the splendour of the odd collection of buildings on the hill, nor from the views over Edinburgh. I have been much attracted to the joys of Glasgow in recent times and rightly so, but Edinburgh is still for me the great city of Scotland.. The vista from Calton Hill quite superlative.
In this image I liked the starkness of the trees and the imposing nature of the monument..
