New Lens ... New Camera!!

After accidentally missing out the decimal point when bidding on ebay (highest bid £3378 rather than £33.78) I inadvertantly won a Panasonic GF1 body for twice the price I'd intended to pay. The auction stopped at £67 thank goodness, which is still a fair price for this game-changing MFT camera, but it still meant I had to say goodbye to another camera to justify spending such a wad on myself just before Christmas. So I bade farewell to the Canon G7 (nice knowing you..) and the scuba casing. They were both ebay bargains, and I got what I paid for them. Also shifted some other gear and raised enough to get the Olympus 9mm fisheye bodycap lens to go with it.

Not the best time of year for getting lots of use out of a fixed F8 lens like this, but I'll give it some mileage over the next few weeks. The GF1 lives up to its billing by the way - I'm already it's biggest fan. Everything is just in the right place - much less of a faff than my oly EPL3.
