"and the Band Played On"

I was up early this morning to be a "market trader", selling copies of the Colmer's hill Calendar 2015, which I have produced this year, and the local brass band came and played some Christmas tunes, right next to my stool!

It was freezing cold, and they had crossed the road to be on the slightly sunnier side of the street and were all wearing festive hats, note the Christmas pud in the bottom right foreground?
Well, for a short while they played a few festive tunes, and then moved on, collecting funds as they went, and certainly jollied the place up, but unknowingly gave me my Monochrome Blip for today!
