An icy walk!

The sun was shining so we decided on a favourite walk in the hills above the Tanat Valley. There was snow on the Berwyn Mountains as in the photo and visibility excellent.
The beginning of the walk was uphill on sheet ice. We debated if we should carry on or go somewhere else but decided to stick to the plan and hope that things would improve. It was possibly a silly decision as the conditions were very slippery but we took our time, often walking in the crispy verges.
It was a beautiful walk with lots of birds including jays, fieldfares and redwings and we reached the end of the walk without mishap.
