Cairn Chorus

Another concert today, this time a local choir, the Cairn Chorus, in Dunscore Church. The theme was "The Christmas Truce" with songs, readings and memories from 1914, but also "reflecting a century of war, peace and reconciliation", so including songs such as the very moving "Baleerie Baloo", written by Katie Polwart in memory of Jane Haining from Dunscore, who died in Auschwitz.
As if this wasn't enough for one day, I'm now off to town with Luke to see the next instalment of "The Hobbit".
