Bluebottle in winter sunshine
I hadn't realised how much I'd missed the opportunity to visit a natural landscape during my lunch hours. There's a beautiful garden just behind my office and I've been trying to get out with my camera at lunchtimes. There's resident red kites who perch in one of the high trees and you can hear them calling. There are magpies, jays, cormorants and all kinds of other wildlife.
Today I found about 6 different kinds of fungi and this large fly that was flitting around the Fatsia japonica. The colours were lovely in the bright sunshine on such a crisp, cold day.
