Love Trumps

Each Friday evening, a ministry at our church called The Shepherd's Table feeds hungry people. Tonight was the night for our adult Sunday school class (our turn is about once every 3 months) to prepare, serve, and follow-up for the meal. We fed about 25 people plus class members who chose to eat. As I seated this couple and took their drink preferences, he told me they were walking (their car is not currently operable) by the church, saw the sign, and decided to eat with us. They live in a one room apt. which they say is a converted motel room. He said, "Things are kind of tight right now." They were talkative, pleasant, polite and friendly. When I asked if could take their photo, she quickly put down her fork, took her position in the photo, and showed love often trumps circumstances.
