Result!

L and I spent most of the day down at MD Anderson, sorting out medical things and seeing L's oncologist for his scan results.

L's hemoglobin has been dropping, so he'll have a blood transfusion on Sunday. Otherwise, however, his doctor feels his tumours are small and stable enough for him to take a chemo break! Two months at least!

I was so happy that I didn't mind getting stuck in the Friday rush hour traffic on our way home. I wasn't even jealous of the free-flowing traffic in the oncoming lanes. The sunny blue of the sky seemed to be reflected everywhere and being stationary on the freeway meant that I (the driver) could take a quick snap of the downtown Houston skyline for a change. I've always liked this angle of the modern architecture of the towering skyscrapers in the background and the contrasting items in the foreground (the children's playground, the row of trees and the interesting (mold?) patterns on the concrete barriers).

Took a while to get home, but I really didn't care.

Just happy!
