Frustration and Brunch

When someone's word means
nothing, there really isn't

The landscaper said he'd be at the house at 8 AM this morning. He didn't and didn't call to explain himself. We waited until just after 11 AM to go out for brunch. We locked the front gate and headed to the Daybreaker across the highway. The trailer heaped with green waste is still across our west gate on the roadside. It's now almost 7 PM and we have not heard from this landscaper at all today. He has completely proved himself untrustworthy and unreliable. I will be calling his number shortly to demand my downpayment returned and the removable of his trailer as it blocks our driveway.

It all seems such foolishness to me. This is no way to treat a customer. If this guy had played his cards right he'd have more work from us, probably for many years to come. Also, we would be happy to spread the word and his business card to all those we know here. For whatever reason, it hasn't worked out well.

Brunch was just fine. I have to confess that I really like a biscuit with gravy. It's total carb overload - but what the heck!
