Up, Up and Away

On the way to look for bald eagles this morning, I saw this hot air balloon. Fortunately, I was stopped at a long red light and had a clear shot out the open window. By the time I could get parked, it had almost landed so this is the one shot I got. I went on and found my eagles but they were too far away to get much detail. There were two sitting high in a dead tree with a Red-tailed Hawk a few branches below. They were fun to watch and hear but I knew the pictures weren't going to be good so I was a little frustrated. I need to upgrade my camera but I'm afraid I will find a DSLR too cumbersome. My cameras have always fit in my jeans pocket. It would also be an expensive leap to take so soon, especially with the lenses I would need to shoot what I like. I'm thinking about a bridge camera but am still researching them. Any input would be appreciated! Anyway, I liked the balloon better than the eagles today. Sometimes the car window blips are the best! :-)
