A trip late afternoon for our annual trip to get our Christmas tree at Comrie. I was best man to the couple who sell them - their main job is tourism and heathers - and I am godfather to their son.

Over the years, the trip has taken place in rain, sunshine, ice, snow and - on one occasion - blizzard.

Today's trip was cool with snow on the ground but not problematic.

On the Braco road to Comrie there were many sights.

Traditional winter views of sheep in fields, pheasants including a dark green one, wintry landscapes and, in this shot, pylons marching over the hills. There is a lot of work locally replacing older style pylons with significantly larger ones. And talk of wind farms being developed.
