11th day of advent and Escalade day!

This time last year Philip and I shared our first 'Marmite'! Not the you love it or hate it type but a chocolate recreation of the stew pot which is used to remember the anniversary, in 1602, of the attack of Geneva by the Savoyards!

At school today we had the customary dressing-up day and each year group were allocated a colour! Those staff not associated with a particular year group wore rainbow colours. I was lucky not to be photographed wearing a rainbow wig, rainbow wings, and various other colourful items of clothing! The children also enjoyed sharing their chocolate marmites...
