Dog Gives Way To Deer

I was on the way to Fisher's Green when I noticed unusual cloud formations over Nazeing Common so ducked into Lodge Farm instead. So much interest in my landscape skies and it got even more interesting. A sundog was starting to form. I think this is the fourth parhelion that I have seen this year. Could it be a sign? ;)

I spotted a covey of partridges and was stalking them up the hill when I noticed the local deer crew. They took flight but then stood with their heads just above the skyline looking at me. They're not reindeer but I think my pic has a slight Christmassy feel. :)
