Back Garden

View from a little access path created when the holly hedge was planted to give access to the back of the shrub borders. The path is 90 m long with 150 hollies. As the hollies and shrubs have grown over the years the path has become narrower and more characterful. It's also quite painful! Christopher Lloyd advised against the planting of a holly hedge and I agree from experience that they are painful to weed underneath. Practically, though, it achieves the objective of separating my back garden from the paddock next door. Some horses do nibble it occasionally but on the whole it stands up to them.
