Mulberry Mollusc

Our mulberry tree has been steadily shedding its leaves for the past month and I'll be very glad when I can finish tidying them up.

When we left England and moved to France some years ago, a good friend presented us with this 'escargot' as a garden feature. I'm afraid I thought it was a bit naff initially and tucked it under the hedge. Now I've come to the conclusion that it's whimsical, in a particularly French way, so the snail is mounted on a rock - 'out and proud', for all to admire!
