Buzzy Boy.....The Bees & The Tulips
Buzzy boy the teenage buzzard is having to do some community service for being really cheeky by stealing some Easter Eggs from a kid down the street.
He (the kid) had been saving them up for a special occasion…… Buzzy boy had had his beady little eyes on them for ages.
Anyway he got caught ripping of the golden and red foil paper ….. with chocolate dripping down his chops.
The tulips this year had been particularly huge…happy and beautiful their heads almost bursting with delicious pollen/nectar so It was Buzzy boys job to round up all the bees he could to come a relieve those blooms of their sweet and seductive burden.
He (Buzzy) tried his best but to no avail….so I secretly helped him out…..I knew where the Queen Bee was having her nap. When I got there she was already getting her troops ready to go…. I asked her to pretend that Buzzy actually did a good job in getting them all to the tulips….she was very accommodating and said she would with pleasure.
(I have to say here that Queen Bees are very very smart with their inbuilt blueprint knowing exactly the moment when the blossoms in her domain are at their peak for harvesting).
This is a pic of me (I had another camera set up in the other corner ) getting ready to take a pic of Buzzy and the Bees. I wanted to make sure that that bird behaved himself.
He thought he was very important in his job and because the bees were making so much noise Buzz felt like he had to shout out the directions to the tulips.
Little did he know that he didn’t need to at all …and…. the bees were just playing along with instructions from the Queen. I actually witnessed one Bee in particular snickering to himself as he flew off.
Mrs Buzzard is having a very quiet evening as Buzzy has now lost his voice…..she told me she could get used to the peace and quiet very easily. Buzzy is happy and feels important and received lots of kudos for a job well done…..the Bees are happy and well fed and are still flying back to the hive laden with pollen….the tulips are ecstatic that they can dance once more without loosing their beautiful heads and I replaced the Easter eggs to the little boy down the street.
It’s been a very big day.
