Beautiful and bonkers

Tonight we immersed ourselves in the masterpiece that is 2001 A Space Odyssey. What an amazing piece of work, complete with it's opening overture and intermission .

Kubrick produced, directed, co-wrote the script - with Aurthur C Clarke and created the photographic effects.

It's still breathtaking. I can't imagine anyone being brave enough to make anything like this today.

It's a fresh today as it was on the day of it's release. I can't recommend it enough and another example of the Filmhouse's fine programming.
