Snow!!!

A day of sleet and snow showers. A blizzard just as I headed scross to take the boys to school made the road a bit skiddy. I was somewhat alarmed to find the car sliding sideways across the road towards the row of police cars parked outside the police station... Luckily I did a bit of zigzag driving (I'm sure that's the technical term) and the car re-gripped the road just in time. The rendition of jingle bells from the back just continued as if nothing had happened...is my driving always that crazy I wonder?! Anyway it scared me enough that I then abandoned the car and we walked the rest of the way. The boys were delighted to be able collect HUGE snowballs on the way to school.

After a lovely lunch at Giovannis with a friend, I walked up to get the boys from school. We cadged a lift home with some friends who wanted us to go sledging ASAP. So we all headed down to the wee sledging field and sledged in the dusk and then in the dark. I was a little concerned as my 5 yr old hurtled down the slope, then off piste and into the dark woods...but all was "awesome". This may be the only chance we get this year - we have to make the most of it :-)
