of steam. This grand old lady, Union of South Africa was doing a tour round East Anglia, snapped on its way from Norwich to Peterborough, as it passed Shippea Hill station.

And a hill in the fens - I can't explain the name - probably an imperceptible elevation in the land that in years gone by was not too prone to flooding before the fens were drained.
