Christmas Concert (2014.344)

Jonathan (3rd row up, on right) is now in the year group choir, and so enjoyed his first appearance in the Christmas Concert. A nearly two-hour extravaganza of choirs, ensembles, orchestras and singing. Some audience participation too!

It's all good fun, and the children enjoy it. Each of them gets to adorn their school uniforms, and indulge in fun. The backchat during "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" a particular favourite. To me, they're hallmarks of a less constrictive approach to education. In my day, it was all serious-serious-serious. I think the children profit enormously from being allowed to put their own stamp on things.
