Poppy

I had a lovely lunch with a friend and she showed me the poppy she had just received in the post. It was one from the Tower of London. Each poppy has been 'planted' by hand in the moat of the Tower of London by volunteers, forming part of the installation Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red which is made up of 888,246 individual poppies. Every one is a piece of art made of ceramic. Each poppy was then hand picked by volunteers and posted to the people who bought them.
