New Shoes!

Awful weather still continues. Gales, horrendous seas, thunder and lightning, sleet and hail. The roads are running like rivers, there is mud everywhere, the power keeps going off and poor Ollie is terrified of the noise of the thunder. The poor hens aren't enjoying it much either!

The bonus is that because of lack of planes and ferries there was only local post for Mike to deliver today, so he was finished his round by lunchtime. Unfortunately this does mean he'll likely have a double amount to do tomorrow, but he was able to spend the afternoon in his shed!

Mid afternoon a local delivery van appeared with parcels, sent by courier rather than Royal Mail. They take much longer to get here, but that's a rant for another day! Amongst the boxes were my new shoes, dispatched 9 days ago, but never mind, they are here now and perfect! Clarks's best!

Almost as exciting as my new shoes are these inserts which were keeping them in shape - I think they are great!
