Mountaineering
One of our Fellows holds her fellowship in conjunction with the National Library of Scotland, which has given her access to the Library's extensive collection of artefacts and manuscripts relating to mountaineering in the 19th and 20th centuries. Today we went along to the NLS for a display of those artefacts and to listen to Abbie's presentation on a literary history of mountaineering. Great fun.
Later on we went for a festive supper with colleagues at the Scottish Arts Club, and then finally back to the Traverse for a couple of drinks at the after show party following the opening night of the Devil Masters.
A full on day - and now up at 4am to fly to London.
