A monumental day

A monumental day, happening so quietly all around the country. Today, lesbian and gay couples who had previously had a civil partnership could convert their legal status to marriage. Did anyone notice the continuing erosion of all the heterosexual marriages? The queues of people wanting to marry their pets? No, nor me.

We didn't do it today, but we will before too long. It's absolutely amazing, and something neither of us thought would ever be possible. Happy days!
