Toilet Trouble

We live in a 10-year old new build house. When minor things go wrong, we tend to uncover lots of shoddy workmanship underneath. Thanks Miller Homes.

Tonight a minor leak from the toilet turned out to be more complicated than necessary. No stop valve fitted, the wrong washers, and silicone sealant used instead of properly aligning the bits all contributed to what should have been a simple repair being left unfinished. Instead of my (insurance company provided) emergency plumber fixing the problem, he's only been able to isolate it and leave me a bathroom full of bits.

Now I have to decide whether to fix it myself tomorrow (after a trip to plumb-centre) or to call another plumber in at my own expense...
