If it's Wednesday

It must be Ibra. Our 'engage' roadshow continues.

Today we had to drive through the mountains from Muscat to Ibra. It was spectacular and the mountains had dictated the shape of the road. It is the main route into the interior and is used by a large number of heavy lorries. A consequence of that has been some 'exciting' overtaking manoeuvres.

It is dangerous.

A new road is being built and with the availability of extraordinarily large earth moving equipment and endless supplies of concrete, the mountains are not being allowed to shape the new road in the same way.

I suppose that's a good thing.
