Fireworks distraction

I find it strange that local residents (most migrants) like to set off fireworks regardless of date and time. Maybe this is their own custom from their birthplace? But such practice has certainly distract local people's life, esp at mid-night or before day-break!

Capture of this firework from a building next to us, without knowing what for. It lasted for some minutes alone. Last night I heard fire crackers somewhere in the distance. Mum's used to this but we dislike this custom!
