Snow tipped Pentlands

Very cold with sleet showers.

Went to Edinburgh Airport hoping to pick up our Ugandan friend who was flying in from the States only to discover that he had missed his flight to Newark, New Jersey because of severe weather.

It was a bit of a sinking feeling as we realised that no one else was coming through the doors from the Baggage Hall. It took quite a while before we found anyone who could confirm what had happened and that he was now booked onto tomorrow's flight.

Fortunately, we can have another night at my daughter's home which is a blessing.

The so called 'weather bomb' has not quite hit Edinburgh but it is extremely cold and windy. We were able to get this photo of the Pentland hills from a spot nearby the house. In this weather I can't imagine anyone venturing onto the hills but I am sure someone will!
