The morning after

Last night was the shambolic AGM for BAIML - The British Association of International Mountain Leaders. I have to be a member of this association in order to work - but its like something from the Dark Ages - elections aren't run to any understandable protocol (or indeed this year, at all) the membership aren't consulted - a continuous stream of strategy meetings take place - there are never any outcomes - and the Directors claim ridiculous expenses (I know they sound like MP's!). Last nights AGM was a prime example - by the end of the evening confusion reigned and member enthusiasm had been dampened for another year. Oh dear!

Waking up today to a 'new dawn' felt very apt somehow!
