If you can't grow it yourself, the next best thing is to find a good greengrocer or other supplier of local fruit and veg - the quality, value and variety puts what's on offer in most supermarkets to shame. Plus you get to talk to real people about their produce!

Today we're in Thame, delivering loose copies of The Dickensian to a local bookbinder for turning into bound volumes. And happily this coincided with their Farmer's Market, which takes place on the second Tuesday of every month. They also have a weekly Tuesday Market - both are well worth a visit if you're anywhere nearby.
