Patty McCord

Today we met one of my idols, Patty McCord. The piece she wrote for HBR in Jan has been called one of the most important HR docs to come out of Silicon Valley and is the most downloaded slideshares of all time. She didn't let us down, a grounded, tenacious, straight talking, passionate and genuinely warm person.

We also met Anne Winblad from Hummer Winblad VC, a useful insight from an insider on investment in the valley.

Stopped by the new Zeus Jones office to meet with the founding team before getting a grand tour of GitHub and the chance to chat with some of the team.

Finished a great day with a networking event at Hackbrite Academy in the city. Good to meet people from new start ups to Google and Flipboard.
